To login to Snead State's Blackboard learning management system using a web browser (Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox):

1. Go to https://snead.blackboard.com or click a Blackboard link on Snead State's website
2. DO NOT use the Username and Password fields on the login page
3. Click the "Sign in with third-party account" field and select "SSCC" or "Snead" from the drop-down menu (see image below)
4. On the OneACCS (Ellucian) login page, enter your OneACCS username and password, then click the "Sign In" button

If the login is successful, you will see the new Ultra Base Navigation (UBN) interface for Blackboard, with a menu down the left side of the page.

If the login is unsuccessful, please verify that you are entering your OneACCS login credentials. Those should be:

• Username - your official Snead State email address, including the @snead.edu
• Password - default is !SNEADmmddyy where mmddyy is your 6-digit date of birth; don't forget to enter the exclamation point at the start

If you have changed your OneACCS password, you should use the new password that you created. For more information, or to reset your OneACCS password, please visit: https://snead.edu/student-life/oneaccs/

Ultra Base Navigation Overview

After you login to Blackboard, you will see the new Ultra Base Navigation (UBN) landing page. The menu down the left side of the screen can be used to access the following:

• Institution Page: Find information about your institution.
• Profile: Make changes to your online persona. The menu entry for the Profile page will show your name.
• Activity Stream: See up-to-the-minute action for your courses.
• Courses: Navigate to past, present, and future courses.
• Organizations: Access the organizations you're a member of.
• Calendar: View course events and due dates for your courses.
• Messages: View and send messages in your courses.
• Grades: Check your grades for all courses.
• Tools: Access global functions that are outside of a course such as portfolios or the Content Collection.

Snead State's courses will continue to use Blackboard's Original Experience design, rather than the new Ultra Experience design, so the courses themselves should appear very similar to how they have in past semesters.

For those using the Blackboard app for students and/or the Blackboard Instructor app on a smartphone or tablet, please note that the apps also support single sign-on process through Ellucian. If you have used the app(s) in the past, you will need to disconnect/logout and then reconnect to Snead State's Blackboard system using the third-party single sign-on. This will open a browser window for the sign in and then return you to the app.
